In the late 50’s and early 60’s my grandfather, John (Jack) Hannah was a sportswriter for Purdue University in Indiana USA. He was close friends with the music director there, and was always active in bringing the Children’s choir to the U.S.. I was blessed by his affiliation with the choir when in 1962 he was dying of cancer and was moved to a hospital in Harvey, Illinois to be near my mother (his daughter). Upon hearing of his eminent passing, the children’s choir director changed their schedule in order to visit him at the hospital and they surrounded his bed and sang to him. It is a very emotional memory I’ll never forget even though I was only 11 years old then. I sincerely hope you continue to keep the memories of the choir forever.
Kindest regards,

How wonderful to find this internet site! I was a part of the Purdue Glee Club that visited in 1977. I remember fondly staying with Ursel and Bettina's family and getting to know them.
